SFI, Svenska för invandrare
Welcome to Swedish for immigrants (SFI)!
Adult immigrants over the age of 16 years have the right to instruction in Swedish for immigrants (SFI). No governmental student aid is given for the course. The aim of the SFI course is to provide the student with basic knowledge of the Swedish language and Swedish society. If you have Danish or Norwegian as your native language, you are welcome to participate at basic (grundläggande) or advanced (gymnasial) level.
Vellinge Lärcenter contains our educational activities and the administration, as well as study´and career counsellors.
We offer SFI 15 hours per week + 2 hours during evening. You will also be given time for private studies in our modern and well equipped facilities. At the SFI course, students are able to study at different levels.
Together with your teacher and your study counsellor, you work out an individual plan for your studies. Since all students have different backgrounds, the length of the course will differ from one person to another. Naturally, you can combine your studies with other courser, like mathematics, english, social studies and history.
